RPMGlobal (RPM) has announced strategic alliances with Field Solution Ltd (FieldSolutions) and Errázuriz & Asociados Ingenieros S.A. (E&A), significantly bolstering their global capabilities and advisory presence throughout Latin America. Both companies bring expertise that enhances RPMGlobal’s advisory solutions offering while expanding its presence in the Brazilian and Chilean markets (respectively) as part of its strategy to grow its advisory services offering in Latin America.
RPM’s advisory services presence has been active in Latin America for the past 50 years, and over the years has extended to a presence through its offices in Chile, Brazil and Colombia. According to Phillipe Baudry, RPM’s Executive General Manager of Advisory, these key partnerships are part of RPM’s long-term growth strategy throughout the region as it expands its ability to deliver projects to both local and global clients. “These partnerships are important for RPM to bolster our presence and capabilities across the mining value chain and strengthen the network of all three companies throughout Latin America. We have seen a doubling in the size of our Advisory business in Brazil in the past 12 months with increasing demand for services from local companies, global mining companies and financiers”, said Baudry.
In Brazil, FieldSolutions will benefit from RPMGlobal’s expertise in mining projects, resource and reserve estimation, mine advisory, and knowledge of international standards. Conversely, RPM will gain from FieldSolutions’ engineering expertise in mine project development, construction monitoring, cost estimation and project management.
Claudio Menezes, FieldSolution’s Director, said he was excited at the prospect the partnership offers. “This partnership allows us to provide an integrated and seamless service to our mining client base; we have identified the skills and expertise of RPM as a perfect match to complement our services. Likewise, we believe our experience in design and cost estimation for mineral beneficiation and infrastructure could certainly increase RPM’s service amplitude.”
E&A was founded in 1968 and has a strong presence in LATAM, particularly Chile. E&A has extensive capabilities in engineering and project management. Customers in Chile will benefit from the expanded solutions provided by the partnership with RPM’s strong reputation with financiers to the mining industry, which has now further expanded through E&A’s capabilities.
José Antonio Mujica, E&A General Manager, said: “E&A Ingenieros is a Chilean advisory company that mainly provides technical support to non-technical users, with legal and financial professionals being its main clients. The company’s multidisciplinary senior team is experienced in the analysis of different types of infrastructure in a broad range of industries and has completed projects across Latin America. Our partnership with RPMGlobal in Chile will help our clients get a service of excellence, with all the global technical expertise and support from RPM and the local view and service of a company based in Chile.”
Stuart Smith, RPMGlobal’s President of Advisory and Consulting in the Americas noted that RPM has been searching for suitable partners in both markets for some time. “Both A&E and FieldSolutions were identified as our preferred partners for several reasons. Both organisations have a fantastic reputation in their markets, great customer networks and have exceptional skills that complement RPM’s skill set. There is little to no overlap within the industry we serve in Latin America.”
